2020 Reflections from The Property Jungle

Over our many years in the property industry, we have faced peaks and troughs, choppy waters, and roller coaster rides. But we have never experienced a year quite like this one.

For all of us in business, it’s been a year of change, finding new ways of working, and even using a whole new vocabulary. Who knew what furlough meant last year? And I always thought Zoom was a fruit flavoured iced lolly! We’ve learned new ways of doing things and got used to welcoming colleagues’ pets, children, and even the odd delivery driver here and there into our virtual meetings.

But for us all, 2020 has been about so much more than this. It’s been about people. In each and every walk of life, people have been making amazing contributions, whether it’s been on the front line as a care worker or teacher, or a home-schooling parent juggling work and childcare, everyone has made a sacrifice and given some extra effort to help us all survive at the worst times when the pandemic first struck, and to cope with the ever-changing landscape that we are presented with.

For us personally, here at The Property Jungle, our team has worked through not only a challenging year for them as people but one of our busiest, as we supported several hundred clients to adapt to new ways of doing things.

Then during the autumn, we were honoured to receive the EA Masters Best Overall Supplier 2021 award, voted for by estate and lettings agents, making it the most valuable award we could have received. In such a year as 2020, to receive this award meant the world. Thank you too for your continued custom and support.

This year’s festivities will be different for us all, and to those working to keep us all safe and well we say thank you.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy holiday and hope to be able to see you in person in 2021.
